GreenSquare is pleased to announce that the 80MW Stage 2 of its SYD1 campus, located in Norwest Business Park, has been endorsed for support under the NSW Government’s Investment Delivery Authority (IDA), a program designed to accelerate the delivery of strategically significant developments across the State.

The selection of SYD1 (Stage 2) in the IDA framework reflects the scale of the project and the increasing importance of coordinated delivery for complex infrastructure. Through this program, GreenSquare will work alongside the NSW Government to accelerate the approval process, align key infrastructure requirements and progress the project with greater certainty and co-operation.

As demand for high-density compute, cloud capacity and AI workloads continues to accelerate, enabling infrastructure development at scale has become a priority for the State of NSW. The IDA therefore, plays an important role in ensuring endorsed projects move through the approval processes and are not delayed by fragmented coordination and unnecessary delays.

Charles Penny, CEO of GreenSquare, commented: “GreenSquare’s80MW SYD1 Stage 2 development is critical infrastructure for NSW’s digital future. Delivering capacity at scale in shorter timeframes to meet current demand for AI and cloud capacity is fundamental for NSW to capture the benefit of these types of projects.

We thank the NSW Government for their vote of confidence in endorsing our project and we look forward to working collaboratively with NSW Government departments to help deliver on the State’s digital ambitions.”
