GreenSquareDC advances 1OOMW+ Greater Western Sydney Campus as demand for Data Centre infrastructure accelerates.

Construction is underway on GreenSquareDC’s 100MW+ hyperscale data centre campus in Greater Western Sydney (SYD1), to meet growing demand for onshore compute capacity for cloud, AI and sovereign digital workloads. Facility operations are on track to start in Q3 2026.

The campus is being developed to deliver scalable, energy and water-efficient compute capacity to serve hyperscale cloud providers, enterprise customers, and government organisations. SYD1’s construction schedule directly supports the Federal Government’s objectives to build “smart infrastructure” by increasing sovereign data centre capacity, a key foundation for Australia’s AI-enabled economy. The Australian Government’s National AI Plan recognises that a robust ecosystem of digital and compute infrastructure is essential to capture the full economic and productivity potential of artificial intelligence and associated emerging technologies.
